Day 01:
Arrive Chennai
Upon arrival in Chennai you will be escorted by our
representative to your pre booked hotel.
Day 02:
Chennai sightseeing
Today you will have a guided city sightseeing tour of
Chennai visiting Gandhi memorial, Kalashetra, Mylapore
temple, Marina beach. Evening free to explore the city
on your own. Overnight stay at Chennai.
Day 03:
Chennai- Tirupati -Chennai (137kms / 03 hrs one side)
Today morning enjoy full day excursion to Tirupati –
known for the famous ancient temple of Lord Venkateswara
(lord of seven hills or Balaji as he is affectionately
known) on the top of the Tirumala hills. Evening return
back to Chennai for overnight stay.
Day 04:
Chennai – Kanchipuram – Mahabalipuram (60kms / 1 hrs
30min)
This morning drive to Kanchipuram - the ancient capital
of Pallavas this place is known as City of 1000 temples.
Temples of Ekambaswera, Kailasanatha, Sri Kamakshi and
aradarajaswamy are of interest further drive to
Mahabalipuram and check in at hotel.
Day 05:
Mahabalipuram–Tiruvannamalai – Pondicherry (135kms /
03 hrs)
After breakfast drive to Tiruvannamalai – pilgrimage
centre with an ancient temple of Lord Shiva. Later
proceed to Pondicherry which carries a strong whiff of
the French presence in India . Overnight at the hotel.
Day 06:
Pondicherry
Visit Aurobindo ashram – 10 kms from Pondicherry. This
ashram promotes Aurobindo's ideas in bringing about a
synthesis of yoga and modern science.Later visit to
Auroville – a unique experiment in International living
and in creating a new environment where men and women of
all nationalities live together in harmony. Overnight at
Pondicherry.
Day 07:
Pondicherry- Chidambram – Tanjore (180kms / 04 hrs)
Morning breakfast and drive to Chidambram famous for
Nataraj Temple. Later drive to Tanjavur– famous for the
Brahadewara temple. Overnight stay at Tanjore.
Day 08:
Tanjore- Trichy (60kms/01hrs 30min)
Today we head to Trichy, short name of Tiruchirapalli
situated on the banks of Kaveri River. Check in at
hotel. Later visit Rock fort and its temple at a height
of over 23 mts. Also visit Srirangam and Jambukeshwar
temple.
Day 09:
Trichy- Madurai (130kms/03hrs)
After breakfast drive to Madurai and check in at hotel.
Later visit Meenakshi temple, King's Tirumala Palace ,
Mariamman Tepakkulam and Alagar Kovil. Overnight at the
hotel.
Day 10:
Madurai
Morning leave for same day excursion to Rameshwaram –
the most sacred temple town of India. According to
Indian mythology this is the place where Lord Rama built
a bridge across the sea to rescue his consort Sita, from
her abducter Ravana.In evening return to Madurai for
overnight at the hotel.
Day 11:
Madurai- Kanyakumari (242kms/05hrs)
After breakfast drive to Kanyakumari – is the land's end
of India where the water of the Arabian sea , Bay of
Bengal and Indian ocean meet .An important pilgrimage
centre famous for Amman temple dedicated to Goddess
Kanyakumari.
Day 12:
Kanyakumari- Trivandrum (87kms/02hrs)
Early morning view the beautiful sunrise. Visit to
Suchindram and proceed to Trivandrum, enroute visit
Padmanabhapuram palace. Arrive and visit to palace and
city palace museum.
Day 13:
Departure
Today we will arrange an escorted transfer to airport
for your connecting flight back to home. |
